Hi-Way Haven RV Park is close to these points of interest in the Sutherlin, Oregon area!

Covered Bridges of Douglas County - The state of Oregon had over 300 covered bridges in the 1930's. Today, there are only 53, which is the largest number in one state in the western United States. Oregon's largest resource, timber, is the main reason why there were so many bridges, as it was an easily accessible material. It was discovered that covered bridges were more durable and required less maintenance than uncovered bridges. Six of these remain in Douglas County, including Cavitt Creek, Horse Creek, Milo Academy, Neal Lane, Pass Creek, and Rochester. The closest bridge to Hi-Way Haven RV Park is the unique Rochester bridge, but all are worth visiting. local1

Crater Lake National Park
Crater Lake National Park - Many visitors come to Crater Lake to see its intense blue color and spectacular vistas. The park offers year-round activities, ranging from cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, to summer hiking and boating. Visitors can take a scenic tour around the lake with the Volcano Boat Tours and view Wizard Island up close and personal. Crater Lake features more than 90 miles of hiking trails, fishing for Kokanee Salmon and Rainbow Trout, and a 33-mile biking route, the Rim Drive. There are even opportunities for scuba diving! The national park is always open, but some of the roads and facilities are closed for the winter. Two different visitor centers offer special exhibits on geology and lake research, and a 16-minute film about the Crater Lake story.
Henry Estate Winery - The Henry family was one of the first to explore wine growing in the Umpqua Valley. It wasn't long before they started producing world-class, award-winning wines. The winery even developed their own unique trellis system that has been adopted internationally to cultivate grapes. Come for a visit, take a garden tour, and breathe in the aromas of roses, lavender, and thyme. You can even bring a picnic lunch. The winery's tasting room gives visitors the opportunity to sample some wines, as well as shop for a bottle to take home and unique gift items. local3
